Tangle Tails

Made in under 48 hours for the 2026 Kiwijam! The theme was "Entanglement" with a subtheme of "Countdown" using Godot 4.7.1  .Net

We at Devious Doctor Labs are currently conducting some research with our new groundbreaking rodent analysing machines. 

Unfortunately, all of these mice need to be connected 24/7 to the machine through a cable, and these silly critters keep getting themselves all tied up and dying! 

Your job is to keep an eye out on these guys and make sure that doesn’t happen. You can use your mouse to drag them around and make sure they don’t get all tied up for the duration of the experiment

Each surviving rat will provide you funding for you to be able to afford different powerups in order to better control the rats.

You can also press "F"  to inspect the rat 

Cheese -  we have mastered the art to make the perfect  addicting cheese,  you can place this down to instantly grab the attention of nearby rats.

Clock - our team has long understood the art of time manipulation, you can use  our machine to freeze the critters for a bit.

Taser -  we are currently studying what happens when you give a rat a tiny taser (for very important reasons). Unfortunally this study has caused trauma on these little guys, they will instantly run away from any rat holding a tiny taser.

Syringe - reviving the dead has been an easy task for a long long time,  annoyingly every government has banned this serum in fear of a zombia apocalypse. Luckily we developed our own inhouse one that we can use as much as we wants as long as no one snitches.
